The European Parliament at its plenary session in Strasbourg on respect for human rights adopted a resolution on the opposition activist Ildar Dadina, demanding his immediate release and an independent investigation of his statements about tortures in Segezha colony. In a document having Advisory (non-legislative) in nature, Dading named a prisoner of conscience. It takes into account previous reports and the decisions of the European Parliament on Russia, including a resolution on visa restrictions for officials involved in the case of Sergei Magnitsky, the conviction of the demonstrators at Bolotnaya square, the closing of “Memorial” and the murder of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov.

In a resolution on Dadina said that “credible reports indicate the systematic use of torture, cruel and inhuman treatment within the Russian penitentiary system” and increased in recent years, the number of political prisoners, which, according to the human rights centre “memorial”, has reached 102 people.

The members of the European Parliament called for the immediate release of the Dading and all persons detained on false or unfounded charges or for the use of the right to freedom of expression and Assembly. The resolution expresses “deep concern” about the fact that the criminal code amendments that limit public Assembly and considers it as a crime.

Parliament urges the Russian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation of applications, the Dading of torture with the participation of independent experts, human rights defenders, and investigate the penal system to reform to conform to international standards.

In the resolution, MEPs Express their solidarity with the arrested on false and unjust accusations of Russia in the Crimea, which is referred to as a “temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine”, including the Crimean Tatars.

In addition, Russia has reminded of necessity of observance of international legal obligations and expressed concern about her exit from the agreement on the International criminal court in the Hague.

The Russian government, the European Parliament urged the government to implement the decisions of the European court of human rights and expressed regret that passed in December 2015, the law allows the Constitutional court to cancel the decision of the ECHR.

The last three paragraphs of the resolution contain recommendations to the Council of Europe, in particular the call to take a series of sanctions against those responsible for ill-treatment of Tadinum and other activists. Resolution aimed at including the President, government and Parliament of the Russian Federation.

The dading and fight with him Uzbek was put in solitary confinement

The Federal penitentiary service announced that Ildar Dading and his cellmate, who allegedly got into a fight with him because of the boiler in N7 penal colony of the Karelian city of Segezha, placed in solitary confinement. On 17 November, the Federal penitentiary service reported on the fight between Davnym and his cellmate,
the incident on the morning of 16 November in the premises of one of the units IR”

diagnosed cherepno-a brain trauma and concussion.

Ildar Dading – Russia’s only convicted under article 212.1 after her appearance in the new edition of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation in the summer of 2014. In December 2015, he was sentenced to three years in a General regime colony. In March 2016, the Moscow city court has mitigated the sentence to activist for six months.
