American 77-year-old actor Jon Voight, who, unlike his daughter Angelina Jolie, at the election of the President of the United States supported the Republicans, not the Democrats, called on Donald trump as soon as possible to fulfill his campaign promise to build a wall on the border with Mexico to prevent U.S. drug trafficking.

Angelina Jolie openly spoke out against trump, but nevertheless expressed support for the Democratic party, her father
believed that trump deserves to become President, stating that the extraordinary man has achieved a lot in life and is honest.

As writes the London The Evening Standard, being in new York at the world premiere of “Fantastic beasts and their habitats”, where Voight played one of the roles, in response to a journalist’s question what he thinks about winning trump, the actor said he was very glad of it myself much to do that.

“Media around the world were negatively disposed towards him, so his victory surprised many. But I am very glad that the Americans supported him, and I think that now everyone needs to calm down a little about it,” said the mayor, noting that he understands the feelings of those who backed Democrats.

“I know it hurts. I felt the same when he lost to MITT Romney (the Republican nominee in the 2012 election. – Approx. But you have to calm down, to breathe deeply,” said the actor.

As during his election campaign, trump has repeatedly promised to expel illegal Mexican migrants, calling them rapists and criminals, as well as to build a wall on the border with Mexico, Voight reminded the new President on this promise.

“I think the wall is needed. The trafficking of drugs and criminals crossing the border is not good, guys. If you yourself lived there, I would not be happy with it,” said the father of Angelina Jolie.

With regard to the programme of the new President of the United States, Voight convinced that trump is “going to do a lot of good and pretty fast.”
