The issue with the transfer of the Church building of the former Church of St. Nicholas of Myra in the center of Moscow, where it leaves the Studio “Soyuzmultfilm”, is actually solved, told “Interfax-Religion” head of the legal service of the Moscow Patriarchate abbess Xenia (Chernega).
“This temple is reconstructed. “Soyuzmultfilm” leaves, after which the building will be handed over to the Russian Orthodox Church. We have made its exclusion from the privatization plan of the enterprise. The next step will be the donation of Church property”, – said the interlocutor of the portal.
According to her, after moving the Studio during the month will be reviewed the corresponding statement of the Metropolitan Patriarchate. “According to the existing practice in case of positive decision the very design of the building will take two months subject to registration of ownership of the Russian Orthodox Church to this object”, – said the abbess.
Informed cleric, the priest John frost told reporters about the letter of the Federal property Agency, which States that the Agency sees appropriate after the move of “Soyuzmultfilm” to transfer the building of the temple Church.
In turn, the acting Director of the Studio Gleb Davydov said in the Federation Council that all the administrative part of “Soyuzmultfilm” at the end of December move into a new building in the street Academician Korolev, and after demodernization this building there will be able to move and creative part.
The Church of St. Nicholas of Myra Church in New Sloboda in the years 1936-1937 was rebuilt under the Central anti-religious Museum, and in 1944 the building was transferred to “Soyuzmultfilm”.
