The former player of the national team of Croatia Ivan Klasnic diagnosed with kidney failure, he needs another transplant, reports The Mirror.
Now 36-year-old who retired in 2013, had three times a week to undergo dialysis treatments at a clinic in Hamburg. According to statistics in Germany waiting for a donor organ takes an average of seven years.
Klasnic was first diagnosed with kidney failure ten years ago. He then did a kidney transplant, twice. The first donor was the mother of a football player, but the body of klasnice her kidney was stolen. The second donor was a father, a kidney which the player still lives.
During his career, klasnić played for the German “St. Pauli”, “Bremen” and “Mainz”, the French “Nantes” and English “Bolton”. In Croatia he made 41 appearances and scored 12 goals.
He took part in the European Championships in 2008, becoming the first player with a transplanted kidney who played in the final match of Euro notes TASS.
