Women’s team Germany won the relay race at the biathlon world Championships in Hochfilzen.

The Quartet of winners in the composition of Vanessa Hinz, Maren Hammerschmidt, Franziska Hildebrand and Laura Dahlmeier overcame four stages at 6 km in one hour, 11 minutes, 16.6 seconds back, with nine misses eight shooting.

23-year-old Dahlmeier broke the record of Norwegian Tours Berger in the number of world Championships medals won in a row. The current gold became her fourth in Hochfilzen and the 10th straight medal at the world Championships.

Second in the relay with a delay of 6.4 seconds and four additional rounds was the team of Ukraine, the third – France (+8,1; 7).

The Russian team consisting of Olga Podchufarova, Svetlana Sleptsova, Irina Old and Tatiana Akimova finished tenth with a penalty, losing to the winner two minutes 15.5 seconds, with eight spare rounds.

In the third stage of Old managed to raise the Russian team from 11th to fourth place, however, bringing up the rear of the torch Akimov made a lot of mistakes on his first shooting and went to the penalty loop. The failure of the Russians in the “prone” can be explained by the fall in the early stage and possible damage to the rifle.

Saturday will be held in Hochfilzen men’s relay, and will finish the world Cup on Sunday two mass starts.
