The Tajik authorities reacted to the publication of the newspaper “Kommersant”, in which it was argued that in the near future Russia can stop air service to this state of Central Asia. The government of Tajikistan such assumptions considered harmful speculation. The corresponding statement posted on the official website of the Ministry of transport of Tajikistan.

“The Tajik side considers provocation an article “Tajikistan may not fly” (hosted) on the web sites. It should be noted that in the future Tajik aviation authorities will cooperate with the Russian aviation authorities”, – stated in a press release.

However, the presence of problems related to organization of air traffic, the government of Tajikistan still recognize. “Regarding the implementation of flights to Zhukovskiy (Moscow) – Dushanbe – Zhukovsky (Moscow region), Zhukovskiy (Moscow) – Khujand – Zhukovskiy (Moscow) reported that this area is new and for the operation of the air route between the aeronautical authorities of Tajikistan and Russia were not carried out procedures for the adoption of agreements,” – noted in the Ministry of transport of Tajikistan.

For this reason, the aeronautical authorities of Tajikistan has not issued the operational approval for flight operations in these areas. It is also claimed that the new direction of flight through the airport Zhukovsky does not develop “in order to comply with parity in favor of the designated airlines of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan”.

At the moment aviation administration of Tajikistan has sent their Russian colleagues a letter with a proposal to hold bilateral consultations in Dushanbe on 24 November 2016.

Aviation administration of Tajikistan issued an operational permit for all designated airlines of the Russian Federation until the end of IATA season “the Winter of 2016-2017,” but the Federal air transport Agency has approved the schedule of regular flights for the designated carriers of Tajikistan only until November 8, 2016.

Russian officials also sent to colleagues from Tajikistan letter, in which he proposed to confirm the schedule of the Russian and Tajik airlines on the IATA season “Winter 2016-2017″ in full before December 1, 2016, in order to “ensure the interests of passengers the two countries.” The letter signed by the Director of Department of state policy in civil aviation of Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.

We add that the statement of the Ministry of transport of Tajikistan on “provocative” articles on the Internet is a response to a note released on 3 November in the newspaper “Kommersant”. It said that next week Russia may unilaterally stop flights to Tajikistan because Dushanbe allegedly does not want to negotiate the flights of Russian airlines from the new airport Zhukovsky.

In Tajikistan it is assumed that the airport belongs to Moscow and for access to flight Dushanbe it is necessary to revise the intergovernmental agreement. However, the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation attributes Zhukovskiy airport to Ramenskoye, and therefore refusal to accept the appointment of the Russian carrier treated as a violation of existing intergovernmental agreements on air communication.

Now “Metropolitan” route Moscow – Dushanbe are only two companies from Tajikistan – Somon Air and Tajik Air. And in 2016, the cost of tickets it has increased by one third – this is now a minimum of 28 thousand rubles in both directions. The passenger traffic compared to 2015 increased more than 40%.

If the position of Tajik authorities have not been changed, the suspension of air traffic from the Russian Federation will come into force, to “avoid infringing on the rights” of Russian airlines, wrote “Kommersant” with reference to the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.
