The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the decision about creation in the framework of the restructuring of the state holding “Naftogaz of Ukraine” the new operator of the gas transport system of PJSC “Trunk pipelines of Ukraine”, 100% shares of which will remain in state ownership.
As reported by RIA “Novosti”, said the head of Ministry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik in the government meeting, presenting the relevant draft decision.
The restructuring provides for the accession of the subsidiary company “Gas of Ukraine”, which sells gas to consumers, to the parent holding company to offset payables and receivables of companies and to increase the assets of the holding company.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government decided not to go the way of privatization of the gas transportation system of the country and proposed to transfer its concession of state-owned companies, with the possible participation of foreign investors.
In September the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced changes to the Charter of the company, taking over all functions for the management of the “Ukrtransgaz” and the GTS.
As a result of joining “Gas of Ukraine” NAK to happen the curtailment of mutual receivables and payables with the transfer of the reserve of doubtful debts, investment and unpaid capital with the relevant articles of the equity capital stated in the explanatory note to the draft order.
Also, according to the document, there will be the accession negotiable and non-negotiable assets, which would increase the assets of “Naftogaz”.
