The new head of the Department of refereeing and inspection of the Russian football Union (RFU) Andrey Budogossky negatively related to the possibility of using in football video replays of controversial moments.
The head of the Russian football Premier League (RFPL) Sergey Pryadkin in an interview to the edition “Sport-Express” said that in the new season each team can be given the opportunity to revise two or three times controversial episodes in the match. According to him, many clubs support this idea, but the final decision should be taken by the RFU.
“I haven’t talked to Sergey G. by Pryadkina, I don’t know his position, so it’s hard for me to comment on the matter, said Budogossky the Agency “R-Sport”. But I practice video replays look absolutely negative. It will kill football. There is only one system that, in my opinion, can be used – the system of definition of a goal, and everything else, sorry, excrement from football”.
We will remind that Andrey Budogossky was appointed to the post of the head of Department of refereeing and inspection RFU 31 Oct. The spokesman stressed that the system of automatic definition of a goal may appear in Russia soon. She will be installed at the Confederations Cup 2017.
Among the supporters of the introduction of video replays was the first Vice-President of the RFU Nikita Simonyan.
“Video replays, of course, needed, he said. – Because increasingly there is a number of controversial issues in which the judge is difficult to determine, for example, if the ball crossed the goal line. It’s interesting food for thought about how all it to implement so that game is not delayed. All must be carefully considered. I support this innovation. As Socrates said: “Let’s explore!”
The Premier League have not yet applied to the RFU for the use of the video replays of the championship, said President of the Federation Vitaly Mutko.
“In order to use them, you need to get right to the experiment. To us the League with such a request. If the League is ready for this experiment, we can appeal to the International football Federation (FIFA) to see whether they would support us because of the country in which the experiment will be performed has already been defined” – quoted Mutko TASS.
