Head of the municipal formation of the city of Kolpino (located South of St. Petersburg) Vadim Ivanov was arrested by the police on the case about the robbery of 2003. As reported on the website of the main investigation Department of the Investigative Committee in St. Petersburg, Ivanov was one of the main perpetrators of the crime.
According to investigators, in September 2003, the drug-addicted woman from Saint-Petersburg Tatiana Sorokoumova to learn that her sister plans to move from Moscow a large sum of money, bowed to the embezzlement of funds by Sergei Kiriakov that attracted to complicity in the crime of Dmitry Bolshakova, Anton Vasilenko and Vadim Ivanov.
“About 23 hours 4 November 2003 on the landing of the fifth floor of one of the houses on the street of Marshal Zakharova Vasilenko and Sergei Ivanov, threatening a gun, beat the victim and accompany her man, stole money in the sum more than 1,4 million rubles and fled the scene by car under control so that to signal you were watching the situation in the immediate vicinity of the house,” – said in a press release.
To date, Bolshakov, Vasilenko, Sorokoumova and Kirzhakov was already found guilty and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment. 46-year-old Ivanov will soon have to elect a measure of restraint and to bring charges under part 3 of article 162 of the criminal code (“Robbery”).
Vadim Ivanov was first elected to the Council of the municipality of Kolpino in 2004, and the head of administration of the municipality was in 2005. In 2009 he was elected head of the municipality, re-elected in 2014. He has two degrees, is married, has two children, says on the website of the Council.
