The Hong Kong police arrested for robbing man with a Russian passport. According to preliminary data, the attacker attacked an employee of the exchange office, located on the territory of the air Harbor.

The alleged burglar was captured almost at the scene around 20:30 on 24 November. The man resisted, the newspaper The South China Morning Post. He had seized the knife.

According to the police, 44-year-old suspect by using threats, tried to get the employee of the currency exchange to give him money. However, the girl refused to comply with the requirement of the robber. Then the man force took control of 59 thousands of Hong Kong dollars (7.6 thousand USD), and the employee exchanger pressed the disturbing button.

Along with the loot, the robber ran to the taxi rank located 200 metres from the terminal building N2 airport “Chek lap Kok”, next to the Regal Airport Hotel. In the Parking area, the attacker was arrested by six police officers came to the rescue, two of whom were armed with machine guns.

Investigators believe that the perpetrator acted according to a preconceived plan. During the search of the bag of the detained was found a knife, gloves and a medical mask.

Witnesses to the detention of “Russian robber” were dozens of taxi drivers and visitors of the airport. Some shot the events with cameras and videos was published in social networks.

An employee of the exchanger, as it turned out, received minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital.

According to one of the taxi drivers who witnessed the arrest of the robber, the attacker threatened police with a knife.
