Olympic champion and five-time world champion in the competitions in Alpine skiing, the Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal earned on the stock exchange more than 50 million Norwegian kroner, reports TASS with reference to the local newspaper Dagens Naeringsliv.

Due to a knee injury, the 34-year-old Norwegian missed the 2014/15 season, the second half of the next two seasons. During recovery, the athlete did not waste any time and played the stock market, a profit equivalent to 6 million dollars.

According to the publication, on the stock exchange Svindal has shares with a total of 54.5 million NOK.

The Norwegian wants to invest the money in the fashion industry. Svindal is one of the founders of the company that creates clothing made from 100% natural and biodegradable materials.
