The Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia denied the information that in major cities in different regions of the country, the school handed out chewing gum with narcotic substances.

With a request to verify the information media about the spread of this gum at the schools in the Moscow, Lipetsk and Kaluga areas and in Tatarstan appealed to the Minister of internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev in the state Duma Committee on family, women and children. On the appropriate letter to the head of the interior Ministry said the head of this Committee Tamara Pletneva, passed October 20, the Agency urban news “Moscow”.

Later in the day the official representative of the Ministry Irina Volk told reporters that the test for this reason have already been conducted and “disseminated information is untrue”, reports “Interfax”. A day earlier, the Governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev has demanded from law enforcement and government officials do more to combat drug trafficking near educational institutions in the region. He said that in the regions there is a new way of introducing children to drugs: drug dealers near schools students receive free chewing gum containing narcotic substances.

Earlier this month, several media outlets, including the official organ of the Russian government – “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”has released information that in some regions, including in the suburbs, some “good uncle” near schools handing out free children tasty gum, and then it turns out that they contain marijuana, cocaine, opium and heroin.

Last year in Primorye, the staff of the now abolished Federal service for control over drug trafficking checked the information on the distribution of suspicious chewing gum among schoolchildren and announced that no prohibited substances in it was not.
