The international Olympic Committee (IOC) stripped of bronze medals at the Olympic games 2008 Russian high jumper Anna Chicherova after rechecking the doping tests.

As informs a press-service of the organization, the doping sample the B Chicherova tested positive for turinabol.

The IOC told Anna as soon as possible to return the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, a diploma and an award pin winner in Beijing. The Olympic Committee of Russia needs to follow these requirements.

Medal Chicherova will remain in the Olympic team Russia, as the fourth place went to another Russian, Elena Slesarenko.

We will remind, that Anna Chicherova won the gold medal of the 2012 Games in London. Those samples were clean.

The IOC conducts cross-check the doping tests of participants of the two previous summer Olympics in 2008 and 2012. The results of the first and second waves of cross-checking using the latest methods of anti-doping were detected 98 positive results. The third and fourth waves, as expected, will soon follow.

Previously the IOC has deprived the Russian national team six of the 73 medals medals of the 2008 Games: gold, silver and bronze in cross-country relay, silver in the javelin and silver and bronze in weightlifting.
