The international Olympic Committee (IOC) has deprived the Russian javelin thrower of a hammer Tatyana Lysenko (in marriage – Beloborodov) of the gold medal of the London Olympics after rechecking the doping tests, reported on the official website of the organization.

The IOC made the decision to annul the results of Lysenko at the 2012 Olympics and ordered her to return won an award. The Olympic Committee of Russia (OKR) is obliged to enforce sanctions against the athletes.

It clarifies that the punishment of the athletes will determine the international Association of athletics federations (IAAF).

Lysenko had previously disqualified for two years for steroids. Taking into account relapse, she faces a long ban. In spring the athlete was suspended from competition after checking it out doping tests world Championships in athletics 2005.

Recall that the IOC conducts cross-check the doping tests of participants of the two previous summer Olympics in 2008 and 2012.
