The Kamchatka photographer Denis Budikova took first place at the international photo contest MontPhoto 2016 in Spain, according to Kam24.ru. The prize winner was 300 euros.

According to the organizers of the competition, the photograph of an erupting volcano Kliuchevskoi was made in 2013. The won in the category “Mountain”.

Just a fair MontPhoto 2016 was presented more than 10 thousand images of photographers from 60 countries.

Kliuchevskoi volcano (Klyuchevskaya Sopka) – the current stratovolcano on the East of Kamchatka, is one of the most high (4850 m) active volcanoes in Eurasia. Located 360 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The nearest settlements – settlements Keys and Kozyrevsk, Ust-Kamchatsky district, located about 45 km Kliuchevskoi.

It is noteworthy that even one impressive the Klyuchevskaya volcano in April did from space by British astronaut Tim Peak, which was then a part of the crew of the International space station (ISS). In June, the Peak returned to Earth.

In the center photos taken by Tim Peak, were seen three located close to each other active Kamchatka volcanoes: Klyuchevskaya, Bezymianny, and Ushkovsky. Over the top of Kluchevskoy there hung a steam and gas plume.
