The Kremlin has called “nonsense” accusations of Russia’s involvement in hacking attacks on the United States
Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov called “nonsense” the accusations in the address of the Russian leadership’s involvement in the hacking of servers of the National Committee of the US Democratic party. Such a statement he made in an interview with “Interfax”.
“There’s a kind of nonsense. On Putin’s website daily attacks tens of thousands of hackers, many attacks can be traced from the United States. We do not blame every time the white house or Langley,” said Sands.
The Ministry of homeland security and the office of the Director of national intelligence released a joint statement in which they formally accused Russia of involvement in hacking attacks on the servers of the American Democratic party.
“The U.S. intelligence community believes that the Russian government ordered about the recent break-ins of electronic communications of individuals and institutions, including political organizations in the United States. The recent unveiling of the alleged stolen emails on sites such as DCLeaks.com WikiLeaks and online persona Guccifer 2.0, consistent with the methods and motivation of actions, guided by Russia”, – said in Washington.
The statement also said that hacker attacks to steal classified information was intended to be Moscow’s engagement in the American electoral process. The accusation came after the statements of the Obama administration and some senators who found Russia responsible for the actions aimed at “Oceania troubles” over American elections.
