The last three sailors from the tanker, detained in Libya, returned to Russia and thanked Putin and Kadyrov
The last three members of the crew of the Russian tanker “Mechanic Chebotarev”, over a year ago, the detainee in Libya, returned to Russia. Among the last released was the captain of the tanker Andrew krynin he and his two assistants – Mr. Sirotkin and Valery Savitsky, informs “the Russian newspaper”.
According to the newspaper, the sailors arrived in Russia on a special flight. Early on the morning of October 25, the plane with the freed Russian sailors arrived at the airport of Grozny, reports the website of the head and government of the Chechen Republic.
On arrival in Grozny captain Andrew krynin he thanked everyone who was involved in their release. “I really want to thank our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, Kadyrov Ramzan Akhmatovich, his team for facilitating our return home,” he said.
On the eve of the release of the sailors said in his Instagram the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. He noted that the return of Russians to their homeland was made possible as a result of negotiations.
On Monday, October 24, head of international cooperation Department of the Ministry of justice of Libya, Nouri Abdel Aty said RIA “Novosti”that the release of the Russian sailors became possible after a not-guilty verdict, but prosecutors have appealed the verdict. According to the official sitting in Tripoli government, “the Russians in connection with the appeal of the Prosecutor’s office made a pledge and would need to go to Libya to be tried again on charges of smuggling”.
The tanker “Mekhanik Chebotarev” under the Russian flag was detained September 16, 2015 in Libyan territorial waters 14 miles from the oil port of Zuwara. The Libyan authorities suspected the vessel of smuggling of Libyan oil.
On Board the tanker were 12 crew members, all citizens of Russia. In October 2015, it was reported that managed to free the sailor Paul Magatia and ship chef Natalia Klyuchnikova. In December of the same year in Russia came back seven crew members, after that in Libya there are only three Russian sailors, including the captain of the tanker.
The release of the sailors was engaged in adviser to Kadyrov, Duma Deputy Adam Delimkhanov (a few years ago was wanted by Interpol on suspicion in murder of the former commander of the Chechen battalion “Vostok” Sulim Yamadayev. – Approx.
