The leader of the “Christian state” Alexander Kalinin charged in the case of pressure on cinemas, has informed RIA “news” the official representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Irina Wolf. Sanctions 179th article of the criminal code can vary widely: if the opponents of the movie “Matilda” recognize an organized group, the punishment under part 2 of the article can be up to 10 years in prison.
Wolf recalled that the accused in the case, “initiated on the fact of coercion of the management of a commercial organization operating in the field of cinema, to the rejection of the demonstration of the film in cinemas under the threat of violence against the audience of a theatre chain and causing harm and damage to owners of cinemas.”
Comrades Kalinin, including his brother, accused in one case – about the burning car at the office of Konstantin Dobrynin, counsel for the Director of the film “Matilda” by Alexei Uchitel.
In late September, the media reported that Alexander Kalinin was convicted for the murder, robbery and forgery. As it turned out, in may 2003, he was sentenced to 8.5 years in a penal colony for the crimes in Norilsk crimes.
The organization of the “Christian state of Holy Russia” a few months ago sent to the Directors of the cinemas of letters demanding to refuse rental of the film “Matilda”. It was noted that any banner or poster of the painting will be considered by activists as “a desire to humiliate the saints of the Church and a provocation to the “Russian Maidan.”
In his comments on the situation the press Secretary of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov said that “the Christian state of Holy Russia” is not registered by the Ministry of justice and, “in fact, we are talking about the threats from the anonymous extremists.”
In February 2017, one of the members of the organization Miron Kravchenko, who is called the press Secretary and the head of the Central Department, said in an interview Pskov newspaper that “Christian state” includes about 300 people and there are those who are willing to join. “Thousands of them”, – assured Kravchenko. He noted that the organization is not connected with a state Duma Deputy Natalya Poklonskaya, which has been actively campaigning against the “Matilda”.
The film by Alexei Uchitel “Matilda” tells the story of the novel ballerina Matilda Kschessinska and the future Emperor Nicholas II. Long before the release of the movie provoked a massive public outcry due to the dissatisfaction of several Orthodox public organizations the image of the Emperor in the film. Premiere of “Matilda” will be held in St. Petersburg on October 23.
