The Ministry of culture until the end of the year will allocate funds for movies about Chekhov, Brodsky, Green and terrorism
Expert advice on documentary films of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation has drawn up a list of 216 films, which until the end of the year will receive subsidies from the budget. In total the competition received about 500 applications.
Full list of recipients of state support are published on the Agency’s website. So, in the section “Films about culture and art” 37 pictures are listed, including those dedicated to Alexander green, Anton Chekhov, and Isaac Levitan, Sergey Diaghilev, Yuri Grigorovich, Joseph Brodsky, Sergei Prokofiev and Vladimir Vysotsky.
In addition, subsidies will be granted 15 films on the popularization of scientific and innovation activities, 27 work on “socio-moral issues,” 63 documentary film about the history of the Fatherland, ethnographic ten paintings, nine popular science, eight about nature and ecology, seven – on inter-ethnic relations and tolerance, as well as six films about medicine and the health of the nation and on counteraction to extremism, terrorism and crime.
The sport will be dedicated to five shot with the support of the state films, four will raise religious issues, three educational films will be designed for children and adolescents, the two talk about the fight against alcoholism and drug addiction. The expert Council has also identified 14 films-debutants, who will get subsidies on production.
