The Moscow city court returned to the representatives of the French group Space and its frontman Didier Marouani claim about plagiarism in the song “Brutal love”, which takes Philip.

“The lawsuit Trunova in the interests Marouani against Kirkorov and other co-defendants returned as the dispute is under the jurisdiction of the district court, and not Mosgorsuda. In addition, the content of attorney had shortcomings – the text is not indicated that the lawsuit entitled signing and filing a lawsuit on behalf of the principal (Marouani). According to Russian law, the existence of such authority must be expressly agreed”, – explained the press-Secretary of Moscow city court Ulyana Solopova.

We will remind, the representative of the plaintiff, the lawyer Igor Trunov, demanded to ban Kirkorov to sing the song “Cruel love”. Also from the singer, songwriter Oleg Popkov, LLC “Philipp Kirkorov production”, Sony Music group companies Rones and RTR demanded payment 75,34 million rubles in damages from copyright infringement and moral damages.

As noted in the lawsuit, the fact of plagiarism was installed avtozavodskii comprehensive and musicological research.

Oleg Popkov in comments to the media admitted that in the book there are fragments resembling the chorus Space “Symphonic space dream”, however, according to him, French musicians could borrow the melody of his songs. He also admitted the possibility of filing a counterclaim.
