Museums of the Moscow Kremlin on Saturday, may 20, will take part in all-Russian action “Night of museums”.

A special program prepared for this action, will be held in the lecture hall outside the Kremlin, said on the website of the Museum. Visitors will find stories about the work of restorers, curators of exhibitions, the keepers of the funds.

Among them – the story of the making of the Maltese crown in the late eighteenth century, the documents which were found a few years ago, the riddles of the Kremlin treasures, “gifts to leaders”, and more.

The night will continue the lecture program “the Sainte-Chapelle: history and restoration”, where guests will hear about the structure and purpose of the chapel, the stained glass, as well as about the history of the restoration of the monument after the French revolution. The program will conclude with the screening of documentary films on the restoration of the stained glass Windows and carved decorations of the Sainte Chapelle in our days.

We will remind, the action “Night of museums” will take part more than two thousand museums from 80 regions of the country.
