“According to preliminary data, the crews were able to observe the entry into earth’s atmosphere meteorite and its subsequent combustion,” – said the source. He noted that emergency services have not confirmed the fact of aviation events and incidents with aircraft in the area.

Earlier this week, Director of the Omsk planetarium Vladimir Krupko suggested that the earthquake in Znamensky district in the North, where local media reported at the weekend, could be the result of a meteorite.
