Qatar paid the son of the former President of the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF) Lamine Diack about 3.5 million dollars for the right to host the world championship in athletics in 2019, says French newspaper Le Monde.

According to the newspaper, Qatar investment Fund, Oryx Qatar Sports Investments 13 October and 7 November 2011 carried out two transfers totaling $ 3 499 950 dollars to the account of Pamodzi Sports Consulting, which is related to the son of Lamine Diack – Pope Massat the Deacon.

In November 2014 the IAAF has given the right to host the world Cup 2019, the capital of Qatar – Doha.

In January 2016, Papa Diack has been barred for life by the ethics Committee of the IAAF from any activity associated with athletics. He currently lives in Senegal, where a fugitive from French justice, which has issued through Interpol an arrest warrant for him on charges of corruption.
