It is noted that in the incident with North Korean ship suffered six Russian border guards. Earlier it was reported about four victims.

“Currently, the preliminary investigation in six criminal cases, in which six Russian border guards recognized as victims, six DPRK citizens charged with the Commission of the alleged acts. Investigation at the request of the court in regard to the latter the measure of restraint in form of detention,” – said the press service of the Ministry.

The DPRK citizens charged with committing crimes under part 1 of article 318 of the criminal code (“violence against a representative of power”).

According to investigators, the evening of 14 October in the sea of Japan in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian patrol ship of the border Department of the FSB of Russia for the Primorsky Krai halted a North Korean fishing vessel Dae Yang 10 with 48 citizens of the DPRK, which led illegal fishing. During inspection of the ship, the Koreans attacked the employees of the border guard.

Also the ship tried to escape from the scene, and the guards opened fire on defeat. Injured nine members of the team of the intruder, one of them later died.

As reported TASS, currently detained ship is in the port of Nakhodka. Wounded during the incident the Korean sailors are being treated in a local hospital.
