Russian television has not yet acquired the official rights to broadcast home football world Cup, which the country will host in 2018.

This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for sport and the head of the Russian football Union Vitaly Mutko. However, he reassured fans, saying that without football they will not.

“I want to assure you that the Russian audience without football in 2018 will not remain accurate. Conflict is very simple: though the championship passes in Russia, all rights of the organizers – that is FIFA. The international Federation raised the price for showing the matches of the 2018 world Cup and confederations Cup in 2017 from 32 to 100 million euros. In the budget of the Russian TV companies, such amounts will just not laid” – quoted Mutko newspaper “Soviet sport”.

However, Mutko expressed confidence that the problem will be solved. “It will be just: we will hold the tender, – the official said at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Russian football Union. – The buyer in any case will be, don’t worry.

Recall that the first ever world Cup in Russia will take place from 14 June to 15 July 2018. Matches will be held in Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
