German biathlete Simon Schempp won the mass start at the fourth world Cup in Oberhof. In the Sunday race the winner ran the distance in 15 km in 38 minutes of 30.9 seconds, with one penalty on the shooting range.

Second went to compatriot Clean Eric lesser (1 miss; +0.4 seconds), rounded out the top three, the Frenchman Martin Fourcade (2 misses; +0.4 seconds). The best result among the Russians showed Anton Babikov (2 misses; +53,1). became the eighth.
