The Russian defense Ministry has accused Western countries that they do not help the residents of Aleppo, Syria
Representatives of the UN and some Western countries, demanding to allow humanitarian aid to the Eastern regions of Aleppo, already two days did not treat offers of assistance released to residents. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia major-General Igor Konashenkov.
“Noteworthy is the silence of the assistant to the special representative
UN Secretary-General for humanitarian Affairs, Jan Egeland, as well as
representatives of USA, UK, France, Germany and various
international organizations”, – said Konashenkov, quoted by “Interfax”.
As noted by the representative of the military Department, “in recent weeks they demanded to prevent militants-held areas of Eastern Aleppo convoys with humanitarian aid”.
“However, as it turned out, after two days after release
from the terrorists more than 90 thousand inhabitants of Aleppo, from the office of the special representative
The UN Staffan de Mistura, foreign Ministry of great Britain or France, the US state Department not
received any treatment for the provision of humanitarian assistance. Though
now, in the absence of the militants freed blocks, for
the delivery of humanitarian aid are all necessary conditions,” – said Konashenkov.
“Apparently, this help was meant for some other
people living in Eastern districts of Aleppo”, – said the major-General.
The representative of the Ministry of defense reported that more than 5.5 thousand civilians, including more than 2.8 million children, out of the militant-controlled districts of Aleppo, with the assistance of the Russian Center for reconciliation.
According to Konashenkov, quoted by TASS, all the people placed in pre-prepared Syrian authorities and humanitarian centres, where the Russian side together with the city authorities delivered food, Essentials and medicines. There are additional items of medical care are deployed and are working round the clock 150 Russian field kitchens.
