In the Russian Federation Embassy in Kiev commented on the message of security service of Ukraine (SBU) about
the detention of three Russians that the Ukrainian authorities called “saboteurs”. According to the press Secretary of the Russian Embassy Oleg Grishin, Russian diplomats do not yet have official notification of the authorities about the detention of Russian citizens, reports TASS. Meanwhile, the SBU published video footage of the detention.
“The Russian Consulate checks circulated in the media by sending operational requests of the Ukrainian side with a request to inform about possible detention of the Russians,” he said.
“To date the Russian Embassy in Kiev has not received any official notification from the Ukrainian side about the incident with Russian citizens reported in the media,” – said Grishin.
In the Kremlin also said the lack of information. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said: “No, we have no information. We know from media reports, but some details we do not have”.
Earlier, the speaker of the SBU Elena Gitlyanskaya said that the SBU during special operation on suppression of activity of sabotage-intelligence group, which operated in several cities of Ukraine, including in Kiev, was detained according to recent reports, three Russian citizens and four Ukrainians, one employee of “alpha” has died, reports “Interfax”.
In the Network video appeared on the detention of “saboteurs”.
“Late in the evening on 9 December 2015 as a result of the security Service of the special operation, suppressed the activity of sabotage-intelligence group, which operated in several cities of Ukraine, including in Kiev”, – Gitlyanskaya wrote in his Facebook.
“One member of the DRG fought back with automatic weapons, wounding two employees of special forces “alpha”, and was neutralized”, – she added. At that moment one of employees of special forces, according to her, was seriously injured, but doctors apparently failed to save his life.
It was also reported that during the arrest were seized a large Arsenal of weapons: eight curb improvised explosive devices, four kilograms of TNT, grenades 40, two thousand rounds. According to the head of the chief of staff of the SBU Alexander Tkachuk, the head of a sabotage and reconnaissance group was a citizen of Ukraine.
He also did not rule out communications between the detainees and the Russian security services, reports DW. Tkachuk noted that Russian intelligence agencies are stepping up activities in Ukrainian cities, trying to destabilize obstacle and to demonstrate the inability of local governments to protect its citizens.
