The state Duma of the seventh convocation will have a new schedule – summer holiday cut, not to enact new laws in a hurry
Deputies of the state Duma of the seventh convocation in 2017 can upgrade to the new schedule. The deputies of previous convocations as a rule, finished the session in early July. Now the summer holidays parliamentarians can be reduced, and the work extended until the end of July.
Since the legislator cannot be absent from work for two months (July and August), as “political death” in the state Duma intend to extend the work of deputies to 23 July and the last week of the month to make the “regional” that parliamentarians worked with voters in the regions.
However, to eliminate contradictions with the law, the days of the statutory holiday, legislators will be compensated in may, given that the days from 1 to 9 may still “fall” because of the holidays and the MPs in any case rest. The last week of this month it is also proposed to make the regional.
August remains the holiday deputies.
However, particularly hardy’s deputies at all ready to abandon the summer holidays. The Deputy Nikolai Valuev, though, said NSN, that have not heard anything about that for parliamentarians will be reduced by summer holidays before the end of July, but is willing to work without a vacation.
According to the MP, the reduction of vacation will not impact negatively on the work of the state Duma. On the contrary, will have a positive impact. “For more working time will be considered a larger number of bills,” he said, noting that personally he has never been a long and relaxing vacation.
The decision about the transition of the state Duma on the new timetable could be adopted in December, following consultations in the factions.
This measure is believed to improve the quality of lawmaking “under the curtain” of the summer session, when the Russian government traditionally insists on the prompt acceptance of its initiatives, reports TASS. It often happens that the summer session had to prolong till mid-July due to busy agenda. As a result, suffer both the form and the quality of the work of legislators, in the rush of taking the laws.
