The Syfy channel has decided to extend the series “Wizards”, based on the novel by Lev Grossman for a third season, reports Variety.

The series premiere took place on 25 January 2016. The Executive producers of the project are Michael London, Janice Williams, John McNamara and Sera gamble.

It’s the story of Quentin Coldwater who goes to the College of magic and sorcery, Brakebills. There he discovers that the Wizarding world of the series of books “Fillory and further,” that he liked to read in childhood, real and poses a great threat.

Starring starred Jason Ralph (Quentin Coldwater), Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale, Aplin, Arjun Gupta, summer Bishil, Rick warty, jade Taylor.

The shooting of the series began on 4 August 2015 in Vancouver. Syfy showed the first series of “Wizards” 16 Dec 2015. Repeated the premiere and the second episode took place on 25 January 2016. From 25 January 2017 at the TV show series second season.

American writer and journalist Lev Grossman wrote articles for such publications as The New York Times, Wired, Entertainment Weekly, The Wall Street Journal. Member of the Board of Directors of the National book critics circle.

The first novel Grossman “Warp” was published in 1997. Next novel, “Code”, released in 2004, became a bestseller. The novel “the Magicians” was published in 2010 and was awarded the Alex Award. In 2011 Grossman was awarded the John W. Campbell for best new writer.
