The Ministry of foreign Affairs summoned the Consul of the Russian Federation, after detention in Moscow of the journalist of the news Agency “UKRINFORM” Roman Sushchenko, which the Federal security service (FSB) of the Russian Federation called the Colonel of the Main intelligence Directorate of the defense Ministry of Ukraine. However, the Russian diplomat did not appear in the Department.

“The Russian Consul to call the foreign Ministry was not”, – wrote on his Twitter page, the speaker of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry Marian Betz. Earlier, the Consul of the Russian Federation was summoned to the office in connection with preventing the admission of the Ukrainian Consul to the detainee Sushchenko.

In addition, it became known that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has instructed the Ukrainian diplomats to take all measures for the speedy release of the journalist Sushchenko and other withholding in the Russian Federation of compatriots, said the TV channel “112.Ukraine”.

On 3 October, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov commented on the detention of Roman Sushchenko. “I can’t yet say whether the President information on this, but it’s a work of special services and is not an issue on the agenda of the Kremlin”, – said Peskov. A Kremlin spokesman advised reporters to seek assessment of what happened in the Russian competent authorities.

On the same day, FSB announced the arrest in Moscow “in conducting espionage action” HR officer of Ukrainian military intelligence Colonel Roman Sushchenko. According to the FSB, the citizen of Ukraine “was deliberately collected of state secret information about the activities of the Armed forces and National guard, the leak of which abroad could harm the defense of the state”.

The defense Ministry of Ukraine said that Sushchenko is not an employee of the Main intelligence Directorate. In Kiev reported that Sushchenko – own correspondent of informational Agency “UKRINFORM”. Peskov told that Sushchenko lacked journalistic accreditation to work in Russia.

At the same time, a Kremlin spokesman assured that any campaign against Ukrainian journalists and representatives of other mass media in Russia is not conducted. “The activities of all representatives of foreign mass media are regulated through legislation,” said Sands, answering the question of Ukrainian journalists about this.

According to the press Secretary of the President, the foreign media “have equal rights the same as ours.” “However, there is a certain procedure. This refers to the accreditation procedure at the Ministry of foreign Affairs and so on. Of course, these procedures must be performed”, – said Peskov.

He refused to talk in detail about the detention Sushchenko, citing the fact that the Kremlin does not possess information on this subject, as it is a question of intelligence. Press Secretary of the head of state stressed that in Moscow, Ukrainian journalists work.

Initially, that 47-year-old Roman Sushchenko was accidentally discovered in the Metropolitan detention center “Lefortovo” members of the Public monitoring Commission of Moscow, the “Open Russia”, said the representative of the PMC Zoya Svetova. Sushchenko told human rights activists that during the arrest on Friday, September 30, he had a psychological pressure, the investigator did not allow him to call home to tell his wife about the arrest. Later on the detention Sushchenko said the FSB.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine ascertain the details of the detention. It also became known that the cause Sushchenko took the lawyer mark Feigin, who previously defended the Ukrainian servicewoman Nadezhda Savchenko.
