The US President Donald trump once again decided to refute the recently published information to NBC News about the conflict of the head of state to Secretary Rex Tillerson, for which the diplomat allegedly he even thought of resignation. A day earlier, the American leader called the channel “dishonest media” and “a disgrace to honest journalism”. The President also called the head of the state Department to refute the message to NBC News. Now trump has decided to say that Tillerson never threatened to resign.
About trump was his habit wrote in Twitter. “Rex Tillerson has never threatened to retire. This is fake news, released to NBC News. Low standards of news and reports. No confirmation on my part,” wrote the US President in the microblog.
On the eve of trump have already commented on the publication by NBC News on Twitter, calling her a fake. “The Secretary of state Tillerson and Vice-President Penny needs to completely refute the history of NBC News,” wrote, in particular, the head of state.
Tillerson, however, have denied any reports that he ever was thinking about retirement. However, the Secretary of state did not refute the information that the called trump a “douche”, as also mentioned in the publication channel.
As reported by NBC News, this summer Tillerson was very close to retirement after the accumulated contradictions with trump. According to sources, the channel, after a meeting at the Pentagon, which was attended by members of Cabinet and members of the team for national security, the Secretary of state was so disappointed with the President’s position on foreign policy, then, in the course of conversation with colleagues in the absence of the head of state also called “jerk.”
According to NBC News, after Tillerson bluntly spoke to the trump, only the Vice-President of the US Michael Penny managed to persuade the head of the American foreign Minister not to resign on their own. During the dialogue, Pence persuaded Tillerson to modify at least until the end of the year.
About the differences between Tillerson and trump, and also about the possible dismissal of the Secretary of state informed the American press wrote repeatedly.
In early September, the journal of the Foreign Policy, referring to former and current employees of the state Department, reportedthat the post of chief diplomat of the United States may soon take acting permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley. Interlocutors of the edition noted that Tillerson increasingly eschews public speaking on topical issues, while Hayley gave comments on the issue of Iran’s nuclear program and the situation around North Korea. At the state Department this information is called hearsay.
Also, the publication noted that Tillerson repeatedly disagreed with trump regarding the Iranian issue. In particular, the head of the White house was unhappy that the Secretary could not provide evidence of breach of contract on the part of Iran.
In late August, the Washington Post wrote with reference to close to the White house sources that trump is more and more dissatisfied with the work of Tillerson. It was reported that the President and the Secretary of state did not agree when discussing the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, and the siege of Qatar and Cuba.
In late July, about the possible dismissal Tillerson reported by CNN. According to him, the current Secretary of state had disagreements with trump, but the recent confrontation with the President increased sharply.
