Turkey banned entry into the country more than 4 thousand citizens of Russia in connection with the IG*
The Turkish authorities forbade entry into the country 4 128 Russian citizens suspected of involvement with terrorists from the “Islamic state”* and tried to get into Syria. It is stated in the report published on the website of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Turkey.
As stated in the report, this list includes persons “engaged in international terrorism or reported on the visit to the conflict zone in Syria.”
Russia heads the top 10 countries by number of those arrested or deported in 2011 from Turkish citizens trying to cross the border with Syria, is 804 people. In second place is Indonesia, the third – Tajikistan, on the fifth of Iran.

Russia was among the leaders among the countries, whose citizens are suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. In the first place, Saudi Arabia (7523 person), followed by Tunisia (4 605 people), the third – Russia (4 128).
Of the European countries in the list of leading France (2622 people), Belgium (1519), UK (1172), Germany (657) and the Netherlands (520). Just a list of 53 781 people from different countries.
The report focuses on the measures undertaken by the security forces to combat terrorists. In 2011, was closed 12 affiliated with ISIS* associations and 2564 of the account in social networks, and promote the activities of this group.
Foreign terrorists use Turkey as a transit country. As stated in the report, they arrive by plane to Istanbul and Antalya, as well as land and sea transport from Greece, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
*Islamic state (ISIS, ISIL, DAISH) is a terrorist group banned in Russia.
