According to Daily Sabah, the Israeli side has transferred money to the account of the Ministry of justice of Turkey.
These funds will be transferred to the relatives of 10 dead and over 60 injured, wounded in the capture of the ferry. In may 2010, Israeli commandos intercepted a Turkish court as part of the peace Flotilla heading to break the blockade of the Gaza strip, and opened fire.
Soldiers of the Israeli commandos landed on the ship “Mavi Marmara” that killed ten activists from Turkey. Previously, the parties accused each other of initiating the conflict. The investigation, which was conducted by the United Nations, are unable to identify the perpetrators.
The agreement between Israel and Turkey over compensation for the seizure of the ferry was reached in late August. In response, Turkey promised to withdraw the lawsuits against the Israeli military responsible for the incident, from different courts, and rejected any claims about the interception of the “freedom Flotilla”.
Then the Turkish Parliament ratified the agreement on normalization of relations with Israel, and the head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed it.
Sources in Ankara, reports NEWSru Israel, also said that within 10 days, Israel and Turkey in a sign of the restoration of diplomatic relations should appoint ambassadors.
