It is, for example, on the largest social networks – “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”.
On the start locks “the Ukrainian news” said the Director of corporate communications Mikhail Shuranov. “The process is quite complex and requires a certain amount of time, given the significant amount of resources. Work has already begun”, – he said.
According to Shuranova, work to limit the access of Russian sites would be conducted in stages. According to preliminary estimates of specialists, the lock may take from several days to weeks.

Earlier Tuesday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the introduction of sanctions against a number of Russian Internet services, social networks, developers of antivirus programs, as well as the media. The head of the state signed the decree “On the use of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”.
In particular, under the lock on the territory of Ukraine got the social network “Vkontakte” and “Classmates” and the service “Yandex”.
Poroshenko announced that closes its accounts in social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”. He explained that previously his team in connection with the ongoing Russian “hybrid war” used pages in Russian social networks “in order to influence the opponents and counter-propaganda”. Now, however, all the official page of the President in these services will be closed, he said.
As said Poroshenko, he decided to abandon the use of Russian social networks and to act “more decisively” in connection with the carrying out by Russia of “massive cyber attacks” around the world. In particular, he mentioned the recent estimated interference of Moscow in the campaign in France.” We will remind that the Russian authorities categorically deny such accusations.
The Ukrainian leader urged his compatriots “to immediately get out of Russian servers because of security reasons”. He proposed to keep track of your activity on a post of the President in other social networks – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
In the Kremlin the updated black list called a violation of the rights of Ukrainians to information. Simultaneously, the Kremlin press service reminded that Moscow does not forget about the “principle of reciprocity”.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Internet Association of Ukraine Alexander Fedenko said on Tuesday “Interfax”that to block Russian sites in the sanctions list of Kiev, is technically impossible. As explained, Fedienko, to meet the requirements on blocking providers can take time and a lot of money on retrofitting equipment, and modifying the network topology.
In turn, the Chairman of the Association “Telecommunications chamber of Ukraine” Tetiana Popova has informed the Agency that theoretically restrict access to a certain amount of resources possible, but in practice such blocking is easy to circumvent.
