Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Vyacheslav Kirilenko strongly denied the information on possible cancellation of the black list of Russian cultural figures to the holding in Ukraine of the international song contest “Eurovision” in 2017.
“Now that’s out of Russia has launched another duck, and not through the Russian and European media with a dubious reputation, saying that in the time of “Eurovision” will be cancelled so-called black lists here will flood the whole Russian pop music, which will be there to sing and tell us what they say there is no Ukraine, and Crimea native Russia. This is a direct lie”, – quotes Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” statements Kirilenko in the air of “Ukrainian radio”.
The Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian government stressed that the motive for the exclusion of any worker of culture of the Ukrainian blacklist is the recognition of the territorial integrity of Ukraine (including the Crimea. – Approx. NEWSru.com) and the Russian “aggression” against the country.
We will remind, struggle with cultural figures from Russia, supporting Russia’s actions in Ukraine, Kiev began in 2014 after joining the Crimea to Russia. The Ukrainian government then approved a list of 14 of persona non grata, which got the singer Iosif Kobzon, actor Ivan Okhlobystin, the writer-comedian Mikhail Zadornov and others. To date, this list includes about 140 persons.
Also, the Russian media spread false information about the fact that “Eurovision-2017″ supposedly to be held in Moscow, said Kirilenko.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called “propaganda duck” and “another attempt to discredit Ukraine in the world” reports in the media about the possible transfer of this contest from Kiev to Moscow because of bureaucratic delays and financial difficulties in Ukraine.
Earlier, German newspaper Bild reported that Ukraine has already received a final warning from the European broadcasting Union, may lose the right to contest. It was also reported that as one of the most likely alternative venues for the competition is considered Moscow. However, DW reported that the organizers of the song contest to the European broadcasting Union denied the information on possible transfer of the musical contest from Kiev to Moscow.
In the final of “Eurovision 2016″, which was held in may in Sweden, won the Ukrainian singer Jamala. Accordingly, Ukraine has received the right to host the contest next year. Second place was taken by Australian singer demi Them, the third Russian Sergey Lazarev. Australia by agreement cannot conduct the competition on its territory because of the time difference. Thus, Russia gets the right to apply for the contest in the spring of 2017 in case the organizers of “Eurovision” will consider the efforts Ukraine is insufficient.
