The current President of the International fencing Federation (FIE) Alisher Usmanov re-elected for presidency for another four-year term.

Usmanov was the only candidate for presidency in the elections that were held in Moscow in the framework of the Congress organization.

“Alisher Usmanov was elected President of the International fencing Federation by consensus of all delegates. According to the regulations, if the post claims one candidate, the vote shall be held”, – said the source TASS.

Russian businessman Usmanov President of the International fencing Federation since 2008. He is the biggest beneficiary of USM Holdings (controls 100% of one of the largest mining and metallurgical holdings in Russia – “metalloinvest”).

Included in the public part of the Independent anti-doping Commission, which is headed by Vitaly Smirnov. In addition, Usmanov has a stake in English football club “Arsenal”.
