The Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilieva said about the need to return the cleaning of school premises by pupils, as it was in Soviet times.

“We must return and rural brigades that we had in rural schools, we need to return to work on private land, which has always been, we must return to cleaning the school, which does not border with the threat of life and health of the student,” she said in his speech at the meeting of the Federation Council Committee for science, education and culture on September 26.

Vasilyev also said that he considers necessary to establish the regulation of relations between teachers and pupils ‘ parents, who are now, according to her, flipped “upside the head”.

“Because the cartoons, which is on the Internet yesterday and today, I find this unacceptable things,” Vasiliev explained his idea. – Yesterday is a teacher, talking to parents and says that we need to pay attention. We will remind, Olga Vasilieva, who previously held the post of Deputy head of Department of presidential administration on public projects, was appointed Minister of education on August 19, replacing Dmitry Livanov.

Went on this post, Vasiliev noted by a number of initiatives, in particular, promised to bring astronomy into the school curriculum, supported the proposal of Patriarch Kirill “Golden Canon” in the study of literature and advocated the reduction of the number of textbooks in other subjects, calling it the creation of a “unified educational space”.
