Representatives of logistics companies, told “Vedomosti” that trucks weighing between 3.5 tonnes are used, as a rule, for delivery to a short distance. Introduction, “Plato” for this class of vehicles will hit carriers using small – and medium-duty machines, they said.
In the case of implementation of such plans, the cost of transportation per unit of goods will rise, and from of such traffic refuse the shipper. The introduction of the collection in “Plato” with a 3.5-tonner will cause resentment and negative sentiment from carriers and transport companies will include new costs in the transportation costs, experts predict.

The launch of the system was accompanied by failures in work systems as well as the mass protests of truckers, who have complained that they pay the transport tax and excise taxes included in fuel cost.
It was planned that by March 1, 2016, the truck owners will pay 1.53 rubles for each kilometer, and then until 31 December 2018 – 3.06 rubles. But at the end of winter amid protests, the government froze the indexation of tariffs of the “Plato” until the summer of 2017.
Customer system Agency has made concessions: the rate was frozen until the end of 2016, and the penalties for non-payment reduced from 450 thousand to five thousand roubles.
