“Aircraft of Russian air force destroyed another large convoy of ISIL fighters* heading for the district of the city of Deir ez-Zor, where international terrorists are trying to regroup and equip your last foothold in Syria,” – said the Agency.

“Bomber and army aviation of Russian air force destroyed more than 20 all-terrain vehicles with heavy weapons and mortars, and armored vehicles, including tanks. Also destroyed more than 200 militants and heavy trucks with ammunition”, – is spoken in the message.

The Russian defense Ministry said that the militants during the month of August trying to concentrate forces in the province of Deir ez-Zor while the Syrian troops and the Russian space forces squeezed them from the South of the province of raqqa and the West of the province of HOMS. “The defeat of ISIL* in the area of Deir ez-Zor will be a strategic defeat international terrorist groups in the Syrian Arab Republic”, – stressed in the defense Ministry.

Earlier, Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called the city of Deir ez-Zor “the main point on the Euphrates”, the release of which “will largely talk about the end of the fight” against terrorists in Syria.
