One of the yachts former co-owner of the bankrupt company “Vneshprombank” (big) and former President of the Russian Federation of bobsleigh and skeleton George Bidjamov – Ester III – sold at auction for 79,5 mln euros. It is reported Yachtharbour with reference to the broker Fraser Yachts.

The decision to sell the yacht received 15 November this year, the Supreme court of Gibraltar at the suit of Bank BNP Paribas. Currently, the funds for the ship had already been received and will soon be distributed among various creditors of the banker. For this, they must submit the application within 60 days from November 23.

To try to claim part of the funds can and Russian creditors. However, to achieve this will not be easy. As previously reported, Forbes, boats, airplanes and real estate Begimova pledged for loans to European banks.

It is reported that of 79.5 million euros is the price, which was appointed for the boat originally. The ship was put up for auction in August.

Motor yacht Ester III was built at the German shipyard Lurssen and launched in 2014. The yacht has cabins for 12 passengers, a swimming pool, gym and Spa. In addition, the deck includes a helipad. For interior decoration used expensive materials. Ester III is a finalist in the number of yachting awards and laureate of the Monaco Yacht Show Awards 2015 in the category for interior design.

In March, Forbes wrote that Begimova owns three yachts (in the name of all three is present in the name of the daughter Begimova Esther), one of which could be 73 million dollars, two aircraft – a Dassault Falcon 900 and Gulfstream G550, a shop and a wine boutique in Monaco, 33% of luxury five-star badrutt’s Palace Hotel in Switzerland, as well as apartments and houses in several countries.

Bejanov was one of the owners and the main shareholders of “Vneshprombank”. Once in mid-December of last year it became known about the problems of the credit institution, Bidjamov fled from Russia to Monaco, and then, according to some, moved to London. In March, the banker was put on the international wanted list. He is charged in the case of withdrawal of assets from “Vneshprombank” for the sum about 1 billion roubles. In this case in December 2015 in Moscow was arrested the sister Begimova, President and co-owner of “Vneshprombank” Larissa Marcus.

While in Monaco of Bejanov was detained by local police, after which the Russian Prosecutor General’s office filed a request for his extradition. However, the Monegasque authorities responded with a refusal. Bejanov was released on bail.

Recall, 21 January 2016, the Central Bank of Russia has revoked the license of the “Vneshprombank”. It soon became clear that the “hole” (the excess of liabilities over assets) in the equity of the Bank reached a record RUB 210.1 billion. Later this estimate was repeatedly revised upwards. On 11 March, the Tribunal ruled on the bankruptcy of “Vneshprombank”, pointing to the signs of deliberate bankruptcy.
