Youth national team of Russia on hockey, composed of players up to 20 years, was victorious over the team of the Western hockey League (WHL) in the first match of traditional overseas Series.

The victory with the score 3:2 was produced in the overtime meeting in the city of Prince George, the press service of Federation of hockey of Russia.

The winners of abandoned washers were noted Nikita Lee (1:13), Danila Kvartalnov (43:46) and Denis Alexeev (60:55). The Canadians scored Jansen Harkins (9:48) and Sam Steele (49:34).

Account in the series was 1-0 in favor of the Russians. Their next match wards Valery Bragin in the night of Wednesday Moscow time will spend again against team WHL in Edmonton at the home arena of the local club of NHL “oilers”.

The 14th edition of the super series will run until November 17. Only the Russians will play six games against teams youth leagues in Canada.
