Three-time Olympic medallist Yulia Efimova said in his account on the page in Facebookthat will miss the world swimming Championships because of illness. Competition short course swimming will be held in the canadian Windsor from 6 to 11 December.

“The next few weeks I’m not going to train or even “swim”. And will not compete at the world championship in the 25-meter pool, which will be held in early December in Canada,” wrote Efimov, adding that she had a relapse of the disease.

“After returning to Los Angeles had a relapse of purulent angina, which I am suffering since April. Frankly, I’m at the world Cup played – when it is not healthy and sometimes sick. I think I “finished off” transatlantic flight from Asia to America and back” – wrote the athlete.

“Of course, miss the world Cup is very disappointing. And make the decision about it was difficult. Although the “short” water is not mine, I wanted and planned to act in Canada. The Ministry of sport of the Russian Federation with the Center of sports preparation of national teams of Russia, even found means to be held in Miami (USA) the final gathering before the world Cup, for which they thank you very much,” concluded Julia.

We will remind that on Games in Rio de Janeiro Efimova won two silver medals in the breaststroke event (at distances of 100 m and 200 m).
