Bobsleigh Federation of Russia led by Alexander Zubkov is not considered expedient to continue cooperation with the canadian specialist Pierre Lueders, who led the national team the last four seasons.

“Lueders has not justified the hopes assigned to him, all debts owed to him repaid. In the team bobsled will work completely on the Russian coaching staff under the direction of Oleg sukhoruchenko”, – Zubkov was quoted by the Agency “R-Sport”.

Pierre Lueders took the post of chief coach of the national team of Russia on bobsled in the summer of 2012. Under his leadership, the 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi Russian team won two gold medals and both got the crew Zubkov in twos and fours.

At the last world Cup in Igls bobsleigh domestic performed far below their capacity, failing to win silver only in mixed competitions together with the skeleton sliders.
